Our History
In 1986 God began to speak to several couples living in three different provinces about planting a Vineyard in Cambridge .  As these couples came to the area, God quickly brought them together and a home group began in 1987.  This grew into several home groups and then weekly Sunday evening meetings started in the Fall of 1987.  In March of 1989, the Cambridge Vineyard Christian Fellowship was born and began meeting Sunday mornings with programs for children, teens, and adults.

Although Dale Bolton and his wife originally planted the church, Steve and Christina Stewart served as the Senior Pastoral couple for the first eight years.  In 1994, when the Stewarts left to plant a church in Vancouver , Dan Wilt who was the Worship Pastor at the time, stepped into the Senior Pastor’s role along with his wife Anita.  After a short period of time, Art and Cyndi Rae followed the Wilts and pastored our church family until 2004.  At present, Scott and April Roe are the Lead Pastors of the Church.

Our pattern and mandate as a growing church is to “grow and plant”, “grow and plant”, so that we may more effectively stretch out our hands in Jesus’ Name to a hurting world.  Over the years, several individuals who served in pastoral positions, were sent out from the Cambridge Vineyard to plant other Vineyards as the Lord directed.  As a result, the Guelph Vineyard, the Kitchener Vineyard, the Brantford Vineyard, the Thames Valley Vineyard, the Refuge Vineyard, and a Vineyard church in Russia were all birthed.

As we journeyed through both exciting and challenging times, certain key elements remained constant – our love for intimate and passionate worship, our love for the people of Cambridge, our strong sense of responsibility to reach out to the poor, the sick and the lost of this community, and our desire to plant churches as the Lord shows us where He is working.
