The Spirit of the Sovereign Lord is upon me, for the Lord has anointed me to bring good news to the poor. He has sent me to comfort the brokenhearted and to proclaim that captives will be released and prisoners will be freed.” Isaiah 61:1 NLT
A mission is defined as a trek that we are sent on, a journey with a fix destination in mind. That destination is one that is defined by the Father, and reinforced throughout His Word in Isaiah 61.
This verse calls the Cambridge Vineyard to be an empowered and healing people, ministering to the hurting and broken who live amoung us in our relationships and our neighbourhoods. We believe that we are to be "a community for the community". We continue to desire to be Jesus' "hands and feet" to those around us.
Here at the Cambridge Vineyard you will find people of all ages who are hungry for God and desirous of encountering His kingdom on a day to day basis. God’s love has impacted our lives to such a degree that we want to see the kingdom come into the lives of people in our surrounding neighbourhood and all of
Cambridge . Although we meet on a weekly basis to worship in an atmosphere of celebration, prayer, and teaching, we do so in order to give away His love to others that God brings across our paths. In wanting to bring the good news of God’s love to the people of Cambridge in a tangible way, you may see us from time to time out on street corners, or in the local parks or shopping areas handing out pop, fruit, feezies, or bottled water. You may also see us serving those in need at our Mercy Centre, or we may be delivering boxes of food to various neighbourhoods with the sole purpose of bringing Jesus’ love and mercy to the sick, the poor, and the lost. Please feel free to stop by the office during the week, or why not come out and worship with us some Sunday morning – we’d love to have you!
